Welcome everyone! My name is Maria Martinez. I’m so glad to have the opportunity to work with you all. It takes a village, as they say!
Since I was in school myself, I’ve had a passion for helping others, especially in a mentorship role. In high school, I volunteered to run a leadership camp for younger students. Later on in my life, when I moved to Canada from Colombia, I founded a youth group for children aged 12-18 with an emphasis on promoting the Hispanic Culture. I then decided to formalize my passion, and completed my Social Work Diploma in 2019 with Mount Royal University. I have a wide array of experiences with children including those with disabilities and mental health concerns. I specialize in Healthy Child Development. My vision is that every child has an equal opportunity to grow up and become whatever their heart desires. You can count on me to support your children as if they were my own.
Whenever you’re at the school, don’t hesitate to pop-in and say hello!
