My name is Hina Arshad. I graduated with an Early Childhood Education Diploma from St. Lawrence College, Ontario. Currently I am the head teacher of A Child First OOSC at Our Lady of the Evergreens School.

I have worked with children and families in different settings. I was a Kindergarten Lunchroom supervisor for five years in the Toronto District School Board. I also worked with all the age groups at the Child Care Centre as an Early Childhood Assistant. Before I moved to Calgary, I worked as program facilitator in EarlyON centre.

I live with my husband and three teenage children. I have been actively involved for the last eight years as a school council volunteer at my children’s school. I am a big believer in community building, inclusivity, diversity and individual uniqueness.

In my spare time I enjoy sewing and crafting. I love to give new life to old things. Recycling, Reusing and Reducing is not just a quote for me but it is a lifestyle.

I am a nature lover and love to spend time outdoors. During the summer, camping and travelling are my favourite things to do with my family and friends.

Working with children is not only my profession but it is my passion. I am looking forward to working with the children and I am also excited to get to know the parents.
