A cheerful hello to all families. I am Ms. Joelle.
I have taught in early childhood education since 2015. It is a privilege to share the educational journey of a young child and their family and also to be part of an amazing team of teachers. Over the work years of my life, I have had a wonderful career in the earth sciences and now I am working with children in the field of education. I have enjoyed many aspects of education but have a special place in my teachers’ heart for yoga and the sciences with my students. I think my absolute favorite part of teaching is listening to the stories the children share about their weekends, their sports, birthdays, camp trips and their dreams.
I am a 3rd generation Calgarian and have deep roots in the city and southern Alberta. I love camping, star gazing, hiking, paddle boarding, gardening and being out doors with my husband, son and extended family. Somehow my collection of rocks and fossils just seems to grow and grow every year. Life is a pretty neat adventure and I look forward to meeting you all and getting to know you throughout the school year. Welcome!
