Hello! My name is Janice, and I am so blessed to be teaching your children at A Child First Preschool in Lake Chaparral!
I have been happily married for 21 years and have two amazing kids, my son Braden and my daughter, Sarah. They are my heart! I was born in Edmonton and lived there until my husband‘s job moved from being with the Edmonton Oilers to the Calgary Flames, bringing us here to Calgary 10 years ago.
I have been working with children my whole life….coaching or managing numerous kids sports teams. I ran a successful day home for over 10 years and have worked with special needs/autistic children for over six years. I have taught at A Child First Preschool for over 10 years, and I absolutely LOVE my job!! It is my passion! Watching children learn, achieve and grow is one of the most heartwarming benefits of being a preschool teacher ❤ Every day is a new adventure filled with more rewards than you can imagine.
When I am not working, my favorite things to do are watching sports, scrapbooking with my girlfriends, watching Disney movies, baking with my daughter, camping with my family & friends, attending concerts (I love music), going to hockey games (Pittsburgh Penguins are my team!) and I love going to movies! There is nothing more important to me than family! My favorite color is purple, and I love any food that includes chocolate or popcorn, and my favorite movie is Grease!
My heart is full when I am teaching!
