Our Lady of the Evergreens - Out of School Care

Ms. Thanya

Hi Everyone! My name is Thanya, and I work with the children at Our Lady of the Evergreens School OOSC.

Before coming to A Child First, I worked in Lethbridge at a Home Care/Group Home as a community support worker with children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities. I also worked in child care where I taught infants, toddlers and preschoolers. I have my diploma as a Child Developmental Assistant from ECDB in Alberta. In addition, I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, an Emotional Education Diploma and a Disability and inclusion Diploma from Mexico City.

I have worked with children in an early years program where I helped children with neuronal risk to be independent. Before that I worked 10 years in human resources, but decided a change was in order because I love to work with children and help them to be more independent.

I am originally from México, and my husband and I lived two years in Lethbridge before moving to Calgary. I am excited to watch your children grow!
