Hello!
My name is Daren, and I am super excited about working at St. Sebastian school this fall!
I have worked in Before and After School Programs for over 6 years in Lethbridge and have my level 2 in ECE. I also obtained a degree in Kinesiology at the University of Lethbridge in 2018 and am very passionate about helping children become both competent and confident at moving their bodies and learning fundamental movement patterns. I am a huge advocate for unstructured, child’s choice, games/activities because I believe that children thrive when they are doing things that they actually want to be doing.
A few of my hobbies include going to the gym, playing sports such as golf and baseball, and
spending time with my friends and family. My long-term goals include pursuing my level 3
certification in ECE as well as starting my own fitness/sport related business. I am looking
forward to getting to know the children and families at St. Sebastian School and hope I can
foster the same positive connections that I was able to during my last 6 years in out of school care in Lethbridge.
