Hello my name is Janice and I am so blessed to be teaching your children at A Child First Preschool Chaparral location!
I have been happily married for 21 years, and have two amazing kids. My son Braden is 19 and my daughter Sarah is 16, they are my heart! I was born in Edmonton and lived there until my husband‘s job (leaving the Edmonton Oilers and moving to the Calgary Flames) brought us here to Calgary 10 years ago.
I have been working with children my whole life. Coaching/managing numerous kids sports teams, I ran a successful day home for over 10 years, I have worked with special needs/autistic children for over 6 years. Then I had the opportunity to join the team at A Child First Preschool!! This is my sixth year here teaching at the preschool, and I Absolutely Love my job!! It is my passion!! Watching the children learn, achieve and grow is one of the most heartwarming benefits of being a preschool teacher ❤ Every day is a new adventure filled with more rewards than you can imagine.
When I am not working my favourite things to do are watching my kids play their sports, scrapbooking with my girlfriends, watching Disney movies (singing), baking with my daughter, camping with my family & friends, attending concerts (I love music), going to hockey games (Pittsburgh Penguins are my team!) and I love going to movies! There is nothing more important to me than family! My favourite colour is purple, favourite food anything chocolate or popcorn, favourite movie Grease!
